How Clothing Size Conversion Works

Clothing sizes are not standardized across countries. A women's "Medium" in the US, a UK 10, an EU 38 and a China 165/84A can all describe the same garment. Our converter maps each country's labels to a shared set of body measurements, so you can translate your size in one system to the equivalent in another.

A women's China M top converts to:

Why Sizes Differ by Country

Each region built its sizing around the average body of its population and its own numbering tradition — US uses S/M/L and even numbers, the EU uses body measurements in centimeters, and Asian sizes often run one label smaller than Western ones. That is why a China L is roughly a US M.
