How Many Tiles Do You Need?
Divide the area by the size of one tile. We convert your tile size from inches to square feet (width × length ÷ 144), divide the area by it, then add a waste allowance for cuts and breakage.
How Much Waste to Add
Add about 10% for a straight layout, and 15-20% for diagonal or herringbone patterns, or rooms with many cuts. Keep a few spares for future repairs.
Not sure of the area? Measure it with the Square Footage Calculator first.
